We are pleased to announce that Carlo Antonioli is conducting KYO during 2018, until our new conductor is starting.
Carlo is no stranger to KYO for he had been standing in for Alex in many rehearsals over the years, conducted our Sep 2015 concert including this fantastic encore of William Tell Finale <Youtube>.  Carlo has completed his Master in conducting at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.   He is 2018 Assistant Conductor at West Australian Symphony Orchestra, attended the Tasmania Symphony Orchestra's Australian Conducting Academy and featured at ABC Classic FM.  We are excited with his ideas and believe you will love what Carlo could bring to KYO.

About Us

The Kuringai Youth Orchestra (KYO) is a community youth orchestra based in Sydney's upper North Shore.  We are open to talented players from secondary school and beyond who are at least AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent (Grade 7 for string players). New players will be required to audition.

The aim of KYO is to provide local school and tertiary students with the experience of performing classical and contemporary orchestral music. The orchestra will be working on a range of music at rehearsals with the intention of performing in public concerts.

Rehearsals are held in the Ku-ring-gai Town Hall in Pymble on Thursday nights (school term time only) from 6.30 - 8.30pm.  <Google Map>
